We are a small practice designing houses, cabins and workplaces where material, light and proportion do the talking. Fewer projects, more attention.
What we do
Three things, done carefully. We take on a handful of projects each year so that every one of them gets a principal's attention from first sketch to final walkthrough.
Residential architecture
New houses, extensions and deep renovations. Site analysis, planning permission, construction documents and site supervision.
Interiors
Layouts, built-in joinery, lighting and material palettes that age well. We work with a small circle of trusted makers.
Cabins & retreats
Compact buildings for difficult sites: slopes, forests, shorelines. Prefab-friendly details and honest materials.

About the studio
Founded in 2016, Halden Studio is a team of four architects and one very patient project manager. We believe in drawings you can read, budgets you can trust and buildings that need little explanation.
